What hasn’t been done to a pumpkin? Last week I posted my video with my friend Alexa about her pumpkins, and I thought I got it all out of my system. Nope. I picked up a bag of mini-pumpkins and went to down with my glitter and glue.
These are cute to make and give to friends and family who come to visit during the season. I do love the traditional orange, but it was fun to do something a little (a lot!) different by adding glitter and polka dots!
SUPPLIES: Mini-pumpkins, acrylic craft paint, brushes, Aleene’s Tacky Glue, Tulip Micro Glitter, Tulip Beads in a Bottle or Puffy Paint.
Paint the pumpkins with the craft paint and let dry.
Brush on a layer of the Aleene’s Tacky Glue and pour the glitter over the wet areas. Make sure to work over a piece of paper so you can pour the excess back into the jar.
I finished glittering the pumpkins, but I felt like they needed something else to give them personality. I’m so totally THAT kind of crafter – MORE!!!
I pulled out my box of Beads in a Bottle paint! They make little dots that dry to look like beads!
Add dots all over the pumpkins. You can use like colors, or go with contrast like I did here.
