Working at iLoveToCreate has more perks than a jar full of sequins. One of those perks is that they offer all kinds of different classes in ceramics and fused glass. While there last June, I took an evening class on pendants.
It was pretty easy, just take a piece of glass and add little dichroic shards on top (photo above), add a layer of clear glass on top and fire!
Here are my finished pieces. I’m going to make one of them into a ring, one a pendant, and I’m not sure about the third one… maybe I’ll use it for some type of shadow box.
The experience may have been short, but it left a lasting impression – I’m thinking about buying a small kiln to make precious metal clay, fused glass objects and jewelry pieces! (Like I really have time to add any new projects to my schedule!)…
Anyway, if you ever have a chance to take a class or work with fused glass, go for it!
Love doing fused glass! It’s like magic!
I’ve always wanted to try this! Yours are gorgeous!
Gorgeous!! I love them. Makes me want to add another craft to my list. LOL
