Rustic Monogrammed Holiday Gift Tags

These rustic monogrammed gift tags are a cut above every other tag out there. Why? Because they are custom made. All it takes are small wood pieces, a little glue, and a Bernzomatic Trigger Start 3 in 1 Micro Torch ST2200 !

I swear, this little torch has become a main staple in all things crafty and DIY. It has three uses- a mini blowtorch, a solder iron, and a heat gun. It comes with an attachment so you can adapt it to whatever you need. There is a small dial on the side to regulate the length of the flame, and you also will find a safety latch before you start it up.

Here is my latest creation – monogrammed holiday gift tags! I went with the rustic and woodsy theme (I think I’m watching too many Hallmark holiday movies, lol!) and I even found glittered woodgrain gift wrap.

Call a “smokey sparkle” kind of theme, you know?

Supplies to make monogrammed holiday gift tags

Bernzomatic Trigger Start 3 in 1 Micro Torch ST2200

Gloves, goggles

Heat-resistant foundation

Wood hearts

Wood letters

Hot glue

Handheld rotary tool

Jump ring, twine

Drill a hole at the top of each heart. This is so you can add a jump ring later and use it as a gift tag.

Hot glue the letters to the wood hearts, you can also use white craft glue if desired.

Bust out the torch! I used a medium flame. Make sure to wear your goggles and gloves and make sure you are in a heat safe work area. Free of debris or anything flammable. Read the package directions to ignite your micro torch.

Lightly burn the edges, just to get a rustic look. It doesn’t take much.

Add your jump rings, twine and then attach to your wonderful and thoughtful gifts!

From the Bernzomatic site:

“Find Your Fire. There’s a fire in each of us. Waiting to ignite. We believe in carrying the torch ignited by our founder in 1876—whose quality craftsmanship and progressive mindset are what blazed the trail that got us here today. We believe in awakening the innovators in all of us—inspiring a culture of creators who can break boundaries, mark new territory and go where no flame has burned before. We believe in empowering those who’ve found their flame and dare to follow it. Because the ones who do are the catalysts of bold transformations that redefine the limits of what we can achieve.   We believe in our fire and in your fire. It’s time to ignite.”
