Yes, that’s right, we’re now accepting applications for our 3rd annual Phoenix Craft Rave! We have a new location, and we’re adding a lot of new features this year…like a stage of music, more freebies and lots of cool crafts!
The concept is to promote craft education and inspiration. The local community will have a chance to sit along side an artist and learn a craft, and the artist makes money and gains new fans of their work. It’s a win-win situation!
Want to host a make-and-take table? Here’s how it works:
1. Come up with a cool craft project to teach that will take about 15-30 minutes for an attendee to make.
2. Set a price for your project, $5, $10 or $15. TIP: $5 classes are most popular. If you choose a higher price point, it should go with a project that is more complex or takes longer.
3. Fill out our form to sign up to teach, fee is $35 (you can pay via PayPal) and includes a 10-seater round table and chairs.
4. You’ll need to gather supplies or make kits for about 100-200 people.
5. Promote your class, we’ll help promote it too!
6. On the day of the event, attendees will buy tickets for $5, and walk around choose from the different artist table to learn a craft. When they choose your craft, they’ll hand you a ticket.
7. At the end of the night, you turn in all your tickets to us and we will trade them in for cash and pay you!
Also – you can bring kits or art to sell as well!
Maya in the Moment will be performing (as well as some other local artists!)
Note: We would LOVE to have empowerment type of projects this year, nothing heavy or serious, but just with a happy, uplifting twist! Think creative when it comes to your project title and see what kind of affirmational spin you can give it.
Ideas: Crocheted power bracelet, Miracle Charm Necklace, Photo-a-Day Art Journal, etc…those are just random ideas, but you can use the ideas to teach the classes if you want!
