We’re dabbling in new artistic waters – fired ceramics! We’re getting a kiln next week and Patrick is having a blast experimenting with techniques. Here are some early prototypes we made for a special occasion (you’ll find out later next month!). What do you think? He wants to paint a whole line of dishware and mugs!
Supplies:
Pencil, eraser
Bisque mug
Duncan underglazes
Paintbrushes
Directions: Use your pencil to sketch your designs on the mug, then fill in with three coats of underglazes. Let dry and add three coats of Pure Brilliance, this will make your mugs food safe. Fire at Cone 06, medium speed.
Are you kidding me? Do you even HAVE to ask? Go for it! Those prototypes look great…different sets for different events…I’m so excited for you all.
