Saturday, October 11, 2008Yarn Heart Shadow Box Turn any wood frame into a glittery hanging of love! Supplies: 1 large frame 1 sheet of foam core 1 large Styrofoam heart Crafty Chica Paint Pack Aleene's Original Tacky Glue Chunky red yarn Crafty Chica Pop Star Purple Glitter Hot glue Collage Pauge Instant Decoupage Brushes Cut the foam core to fit the back of the frame. Secure it with hot glue. Use the Tacky Glue to adhere the heart in the center. Let dry. Paint the frame green, the inner background purple and the heart red. Work section by section and coat an area with the decoupage medium, and then the purple glitter. Do this until the surface is completely covered. Now add Tacky Glue to the front of the heart and wrap the yarn around the heart. Let dry. Add details to the frame. I write a syndicated craft column for The Arizona Republic. My 7th craft book comes out next year, as well as my first novel.
