Game Day Snack Station

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post with Coca-Cola and NABISCO. All opinions and experiences of making these tasty snacks are all my own.

Welcome to my second post for the Coca-Cola and NABISCO “Home Bowl” campaign! Things were getting VERY exciting here in Arizona, if you are following the road to this February, you know exactly what I’m talking about. Even though our hometown team didn’t quite make it to the end, my family is all about creating a huge party for the rest of the games. Seriously, it’s huge deal. Everyone gathers at my sister-in-law’s house and brings food. Lots and lots of food! Then the grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and kids all cram into the family room and watch the action unfold. Lots of emotional eating going on, especially when the games are super exciting!

I’m excited to contribute some creativity to the football fiesta this year with this awesome snack station I assembled using all kinds of our family’s favorite treats. It has the main staples of sports snacking – OREO Cookies, NILLA Wafers, WHEAT THINS Snacks, TRISCUIT Crackers and of course, some icy cold Coca-Cola!

I also added in fruit, cheese, nuts, and I even made yogurt parfaits with the NILLA Wafers and OREO Cookies!

Before I go into the details of putting this all together, don’t forget that I have a Home Bowl $400 Coca-Cola and NABISCO prize pack giveaway going on! Click here to see more about entering! I’m loving all the entries so far!

About the snack station. I made it really easy. You can visit your local party store to pick up an array of football-themed accessories. I fell in love with this big fold up stadium that holds a lot of munchies!

I wanted to create something sweet, so I thought using small football-shaped bowls would be perfect to hold yogurt parfaits.

The idea is to layer the vanilla yogurt (you can also use pudding or whipped cream) in the bowl and line it with NILLA Wafers and OREO Cookies.

I also wanted to get in the spirit, so I used icing to decorate the cookies to look like little footballs. I thought these would look great in the center of the snack station.

Visit the baking aisle for icing, make sure to knead it really well. Practice a little on a napkin before you apply to the OREO Cookies.

Here’s the yogurt parfaits! You can scoop out what you want, or pick one up to eat all by yourself!

See the little candy footballs on the NILLA Wafers? I picked those up at the party store, simple apply a bit of icing to the top of the cookie, then press the candy football on top.

My husband is into the crispy, salty snacks, so I set up a row of WHEAT THINS Snacks and TRISCUIT Crackers in his honor. Add a variety of cheeses, such as jalapeno jack, cheddar, havarti and swiss.

And of course, ice-cold Coca-Cola in the mini-cans to wash it all down.

TIP: Keep your drinking glasses in the freezer, and take them out right before serving the Cokes, it makes them taste even better!

I’m proud of my contribution! Stay tuned next week for my final post, I have another awesome idea to celebrate game day!
