DIY Hand stamped Thanksgiving placemats – en Español

I love to personalize anything and everything for parties and family get-togethers, so hello, DIY Hand stamped Thanksgiving placemats!

Use letter stamp and fabric paint to create hand-stamped Thanksgiving placemats. Use Spanish language phrases to celebrate culture!!

Sure I could’ve gone the English route, but I thought I’d make it more fun. See, in both my family and Patrick’s, it’s the elders who speak Spanish, the kids and grandkids speak Spanglish. So I thought it would be fun to make these placemats as conversation pieces to get some bilingual action going on.

I used to love sitting at family gatherings as a kid and listening to my parents and grandparents kiddingly struggle to teach us Spanish. This is my throwback to that!

Even better – you can create this project with your kids or grandkids to help them learn these phrases. I guarantee, after they stamp them letter-by-letter, they’ll remember them for the rest of their lives!

Where to purchase

When you visit your local discount department store you’ll find a seasonal area for all things turkey day. I saw the open area on these placemats and knew they were crying out for me to embellish them!

You can try Ross, Big lots, Marshalls, Target or Walmart. Even the secondhand store.

  1. I am soooo glad I found your blog a few months ago. I love the Thanksgiving placemats. Fabulous idea. We have Italian on my side and Swedish on my husbands….LOL……so this would be rather interesting to incorporate. Thanks so much and I wish you and your family a beautiful holiday season.
