I have some really exciting news to share! I’m now a 2015 brand ambassador for HP and their new site, MyPrintly.com! What this means is that every month I’ll join 14 other creative DIYers and share a new paper craft project on MyPrintly! I’ve always been a big fan of photo and memory crafting and now I have even more motivation. My first project is this Valentine Box Craft that is sooo enjoyable to make! Photos, crystals, ruffled paper edges – YES!

In order to kick off this project and site, HP flew all of us “HP Printlys” (that’s our new group name!) out to San Diego last week to tour the HP corporate offices. It was for one night and two days, and they were action-packed!

One of my favorite aspects was meeting other Phoenix bloggers! I had no idea my city was so rich with creative blogging talent. I need to get out more! This event was a life changer for me, to meet new friends who have so much in common with this crafty lifestyle! OK, over on the far left is Jen Goode of 100Directions, she is from Denver, but flew in at the same time as us and she joined us in our limobus (a first for me, it rocked!)

Next to her is Vanessa Rodriguez Coppola of Sew Vanessa Craft, and then Sara Wellensiek of MomEndeavors, and Laura Peterson of PinkCakePlate. These chicas were bursting with ideas, knowledge, creativity and enthusiasm. This sounds so corny, but it really filled my heart to meet new LOCAL amigas who get me and what I do, they know because they do it all too. And they do it so well. Please check out their sites, you’ll be so inspired, I promise! For example, one thing I learned is that I need to start doing printables! I’m excited to dive in!

So that was the first impression, can you imagine how the rest of the trip went? We stayed at the gorgeous Rancho Bernardo Inn. We each had our own little bungalow. Mine was a bit of a walk from the entrance, but I loved every step because the grounds were so beautiful and it gave me time to clear my head and just savor the perfect weather and take in that I was really there for this exciting opportunity. Plus, I’m in a walking challenge, so I welcomed all those extra steps on my pedometer, right?

For the first night, we were part of the HP Photo Social. This is an event that HP holds and invites mom bloggers to come try out the wireless printers and make some crafts. Before the crowd arrived, we were introduced to some of the new Hp products, like the HP Social Media Snapshots Removable Sticky Photo Paper! This paper is meant for printing out Instagram photos, it measures 4 x 5 in and comes with a sticky back!

First you need to download the HP Snapshots app, it pulls up your IG feed and you can choose from a bunch of different layouts and fonts. Then choose a wireless printer, load your paper, and BOOM! Done! I love the sticky back aspect, so many crafty possibilities! This paper is new and is rolling out to stores, but if you want some now, you can order it from the HP site here.

Here are some pictures we printed using the HP Snapshots app and the sticky back paper.

OK, then they opened the doors to all the guests who RSVPd. At first we were told 50, but it ended up being more than double that! For my craft station, I showed how to use photos to decorate the tops of these small chocolate boxes. iLoveToCreate was kind enough to send us a lot of glue and crystals too!

The craft was a hit!

Dinah from DIYinspired and Vanessa from See Vanessa Craft visited my table!

And Jen’s table was hoppin’ too!

We spent the next day at the HP headquarters learning all about the company, the history, the vision, the printers, the papers, apps, and we all shared our blogging stories with the group. We were able to test out some new products, and take a tour through the engineer and designer area.

Wow, such a great day! We were able to get a group photo too! There are some kick-butt crafters here, I’ll share some videos so you can see what I mean! Thank you so much to Maria Bailey and the team at HP for inviting me along for this ride, I’m going to love every minute!
