FREE project from new Signature Styles book!

I’m so excited to be included in Signature Styles: 20 Stitchers Craft Their Look by Jenny Doh.
It features profiles of twenty “stitchers,” all in their creative element. There are interviews, project tutorials and amazing photographs. My photos are very sentimental to me because my brother took them. Read on to get the free project (I made a tote from a jumbo size Virgin of Guadalupe scarf!).

Lark Books recently featured my project on their blog, The Crafty Reader:

If you’re like me, you’ve impulse-purchased a scarf before. Driven strictly by desire to possess that particular accessory at that moment. Then you get home and after rummaging through your closet you discover that you don’t have a thing that goes with it. But you still love it because it’s awesome, which is why you snapped it up to begin with, and figure you’ll find the perfect something to go with it down the road. Well if that scarf is still languishing in a drawer then it’s high time for high fashion.

Crafty Kathy Cano-Murillo of Crafty Chica fame will show you how to transform that scarf into a handy tote. And like shoes, you can never have too many totes. Get the instructions here.

This fun project is just one of 20 showcased in the newly released Signature Styles. Take a behind-the-scenes tour with 20 of the hottest movers and shakers in the crafting industry as they talk about their homes and studios, signature techniques, and their own unique style. Featured artists are Heather Bailey, Serena Thompson, Meg McElwee, Elsie Flannigan, Rashida Coleman-Hale, Kathy Cano-Murillo, Betz White, Meg Allan Cole, Bari J. Ackerman, Erika & Monika Simmons, Kayte Terry, Megan Hunt, Sonya Nimri, Megan Nicolay, Ruth Singer, Sandy Stone, Bonzie & Ger, Teva Durham, and Amy Tangerine.
